Everyone has a wine story.

We'd love to hear yours.

Wine shouldn't feel intimidating. Even if you're new to the world of wine, every experience teaches you something. Those lessons might seem small to you, but they could be exactly what another beginner needs to hear.

That's why we're inviting members of the Wine Army community to share their stories.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in your authentic, beginner-friendly stories that educate, inspire, or encourage others who are learning about wine.

Here are some ideas, but don't limit yourself:

  • Discovering your first favorite bottle of wine

  • Visiting a winery for the first time

  • Hosting your first wine tasting or wine night

  • Learning wine terminology that finally made everything click

  • Pairing wine with food and what you learned

  • Building your first home wine collection

  • Wine travel experiences

  • A product or accessory that made enjoying wine easier

  • Mistakes you made so other beginners don't have to

  • How your tastes have changed over time

  • Tips that helped you feel more confident ordering wine at a restaurant

  • Your journey from "I don't know anything about wine" to where you are today

Don't worry about being an expert. In fact, we're specifically interested in real experiences from real people. We know most of our readers are beginners, and sometimes hearing from someone who has recently been in their shoes is even more valuable than advice from an expert.

A Few Tips

The articles readers love most usually sound like a conversation with a friend.

Don't worry about using fancy wine terms or sounding like a sommelier. Tell us what happened, what surprised you, what you learned, and what you wish someone had told you when you were starting.

Your story could be the reason someone else feels confident enough to try their next bottle.
