The Wine Army Story
Wine Army began with a simple belief: wine should feel like an invitation, not an obstacle. A lot of people know very little about wine when starting out. It can feel tangled in rules, ratings, and rituals that make you wonder if you belong. We wanted to change that.
Have you ever stared at a restaurant wine list feeling overwhelmed? Or walked through a wine shop wondering where to even begin? You're not alone. Most people feel this way, even people who enjoy wine regularly.
Wine Army exists to make wine feel welcoming instead of intimidating. It began as a small community for beginners, and today it continues with the same mission: helping people feel confident, included, and comfortable in wine-related spaces.

Our writers include WSET-certified writers and industry professionals with hands-on experience across wine regions and styles. Every article is vetted for accuracy before it's published, and we're building out individual author pages so you can meet the people behind the stories as our team grows publicly. Stay tuned!
